SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- The South Carolina Air Force Association has scheduled its annual awards luncheon for noon, April 23 at the Carolina Skies Club and Conference Center at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina.
The luncheon recognizes unit and individual winners from Joint Base Charleston, McEntire Joint National Guard Base and Shaw AFB. AFA leadership will announce the top Air Force ROTC, Air Force JROTC and Civil Air Patrol winners, as well as the South Carolina Air Force Association teacher of the year during the event.
Expected to be in attendance is retired Gen. Larry Spencer, AFA president and former vice chief of staff of the U.S. Air Force, and retired Gen. Gary North, former Pacific Air Forces commander, will be the guest speaker.
The SCAFA has scheduled meetings throughout the morning in addition to the awards luncheon, both of which will be open to anyone with base access.
