SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- The nomination periods for the Air Force Youth Programs Aviation and Air Force Space Summer Camps are open.
The suspense date for registration forms for both camps is April 22. Selections for Aviation Camp will be announced May 6, and Space Camp announced May 20.
The camps are open to teenagers who are dependents of active duty military assigned to, working, or living on an Air Force led or joint installation, teenage dependents of retired Air Force service members, Air Force civilians, Air National Guard, or Air Force reserve members.
Aviation Camp is held at the Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colorado, June 18-24. Space Camp is held at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Huntsville, Alabama, July 31- Aug. 5.
All lodging, meals, and program costs will be centrally funded at no cost to participants or their respective installations. However, transportation cost is the responsibility of attendees or their installation.
