With our deepest condolences, we are saddened by the loss of one our Air Expo performers over the weekend.

ICAS member and air show performer Greg Connell was killed on Saturday when his "Wolf Pitts" custom-built biplane crashed at an air show outside of Atlanta.

The incident happened at the DeKalb-Peachtree Airport Good Neighbor Day air show on Saturday afternoon shortly before 5:00 p.m. There were no injuries on the ground and no other property damage. Connell was flying with a current and valid Statement of Aerobatic Competency issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Investigators from the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) were on the scene Saturday afternoon to begin their official investigation.
