How many forms of disasters can you name? One, two or even seven? Here's the real question, how many are you prepared for?

The Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Emergency Management Division has developed an on-the-go emergency prep resource for your mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Androids.

Not only does this app support the Air Force "Be Ready" Awareness Campaign but also coincides with the Air Force Emergency Preparedness Guide-a two for one win situation. "Be Ready" covers basic preparedness, manmade events, natural disasters and after the fact information. This easy to maneuver app includes practical tools: customizable emergency supply checklists, allows you to import crucial telephone numbers, websites, and family locations.

If you do not have an emergency plan yet, no worries, it has the option to create one. With this option you can add critical data such as insurance policies, utilities and family contact information.

Don't know what to do in a hurricane, flood or even an active shooter? We got you covered! Hit the "threats" icon for instant access to 16 scenarios.

"Be Ready" can be used by civilians, contractors, and family members; therefore, it is not restricted to only military personnel. Did we mention that it is free? Knowing what to expect and how to prepare is key in making any crisis more manageable. The reduction of panic can initiate quicker reaction time in getting yourself and others to safety.

Taking the time to strengthen your family's emergency plan will ease the confusion for those unanticipated catastrophes or even the ones that are impending. Having a convenient app that does it all gives you no excuse of not being ready. When disaster strikes, are you prepared?
