This week's Shaw Spotlight is Senior Airman Dwight Thomas, 20th Fighter Wing Airfield Management shift lead, a native of Van Nuys, Calif.

Thomas has been in the Air Force for more than four years and Shaw is his first duty station. He has deployed once and will be going to Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England in June 2013.

"Dwight is a leader of leaders and sets the example for others around him," said Senior Master Sgt. Rashaun Fleming, 20th FW airfield manager. "He consistently performs at a very high level and expects all to follow his lead. He looks to learn at every possible opportunity and loves to teach others what he's learned."

"His recent selection to Staff Sgt. is well deserved," added Fleming.

When asked what his favorite quote is he replied, "Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away," from Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

"Dwight is very motivated and can do anything he sets his mind to," said Master Sgt. Adam White, 20th FW deputy airfield manager.
