Shaw Spotlight Airman 1st Class Faith Bowling

This week's Shaw Spotlight is Airman 1st Class Faith Bowling, a 20th Communications Squadron applications technician from Jacksboro, Tenn.

Bowling has been at Shaw since December 2011.

Bowling favorite quote is, "To be average is to be excellent." Bowling explained being excellent is normal; you have to exceed excellence to be better than normal.

"Bowling sets an example because she volunteers to help her fellow Airmen," said Staff Sgt. Catalino Vega, 20th Communications Squadron application services NCO in charge.  "She also dedicates hours of her own time on weekends to help strengthen the positive image between the Sumter community and the U.S. Air Force."

Family: Four siblings

Music: "Anything, I'm very diverse with my music," said Bowling.
