This week's Shaw Spotlight is Staff Sgt. Jason Watkins, 20th Maintenance Operations Squadron maintenance training flight instructor from Franklin, N.C. Watkins says he has grown to become a more well rounded individual with nine years in the U.S. Air Force and five of those years have been at Shaw Air Force Base.

"My job is to help shape the minds of the maintainers," said Watkins. "I have learned so much working with the 79th Fighter Squadron and the Equipment Maintenance Squadron and now I get a chance to share my knowledge with others."

"Watkins constantly portrays true professionalism as a junior non commissioned officer," said Tech. Sgt. Kenneth Rogers, 20th Maintenance Operations Squadron maintenance training flight section chief. "Whenever I have to ask him to do something he does it, but 99 percent of the time he is already on task and on time. Watkins is a forward thinking NCO and his peers constantly emulate him which make my job a lot easier. He is always on the frontlines with 20th Maintenance Group Airmen and I appreciate all his hard work to help get our mission accomplished."
