This week's Shaw Spotlight is Staff Sgt. Samantha Alba, 20th Communications Squadron unit training manager, from Virginia Beach, Va.

In addition to her primary job, Alba is a unit physical training leader.

Master Sgt. Shawna Broussard-Jones, 20th Communications Squadron quality assurance superintendent, nominated Alba because, "She embodies leadership and is a role model for all. Alba leads from the front and is head and shoulders above her peers. She is currently the Communications Trustee for Shaw Air Force Base's Air Force Sergeants Association, Chapter 377, as well as the 20th Communications Booster Club president. Alba seeks out every opportunity to rise to the challenge, while lifting up those around her. I'm so proud she's on my team."
