Editor's note: The Warrior of the Week Program is a program designed to honor Shaw's service members who exemplify the Core Values.

This week's Warrior of the week is Staff Sgt. Thanh Nguyen, 372nd Training Squadron Detachment 202 F-16 armament systems instructor and scheduler, from Lincoln, Neb.

"Nguyen is the heartbeat of this detachment," said Senior Master Sgt. Stephen Wallace, 372nd Training Squadron Detachment 202 chief. "He handles all the class scheduling for training which makes our mission possible."

Nguyen's additional duties include information technology manager, course and equipment schedules and production reporting.

In his scheduling and production duties, he regularly coordinates with the 20th Maintenance Group command chief, wing weapons manager, and the military training flight.

Over the course of a year he schedules approximately 500 students in 9 different career fields, Wallace said.

He is scheduled to be the first to facilitate an unprecedented "deployment" of an avionics instructor to an Area of Operations to support air maintenance squadron training requirements, Wallace said.
