Warrior of the Week: Tech. Sgt. Ray Grogan

Editor's note: The Warrior of the Week program recognizes outstanding Airmen here who exemplify the Air Force's Core Values.

This week's Warrior of the Week is Tech. Sgt. Ray Grogan, 20th Contracting Squadron acquisitions team lead, from Merced, Calif.

Grogan's job is to help negotiate contracts and analyze prices to buy Air Force materials.

"He is an amazing troop who just returned from deployment and was handpicked to stand up a new contracting team supporting all purchase requests under $150,000, " said Maj. Kenric Phillips, 20th CONS commander.

He leads a team of new cross trainees and is responsible for educating them on the basic principles of contracting. He is also the 20th CONS NCO of the year.

Family: 4-year-old son Cameron, and 1-year-old daughter Alyssa

Hobbies: Water activities, running and watching mixed martial arts

Favorite Music: Rock

Favorite Movie: "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas"

Hero/mentor: His father; he was also in the military and did a lot of good things.

Guilty Pleasure: Cheesecake

Goals: To get commissioned

If you could spend one hour with anyone who would it be and why? "Ronald Reagan, I would like to his pick his brain."
