Editor's note: The Warrior of the Week program is designed to recognize outstanding Airmen on Shaw Air Force Base who have exemplified the core values.

This week's Warrior of the Week is Senior Airman Kyle Thomas Wilson, 20th Equipment Maintenance Squadron aircraft ground equipment flight.

"Airman Wilson is a hard-charging airman who meets challenges head on, seeks out additional responsibilities and leads the way for others to follow," said Senior Master Sgt. Ryan Yeggy, 20th EMS AGE flight chief.

He has been a key supporter of many base programs and activities, said Sergeant Yeggy. He has been the 20th EMS Airmen Against Drunk Driving representative. He is the AGE flight's physical training leader helping keep the flight at a 95 percent passing rate.

The AGE Airman is also the key focal point for all AGE flight deployments and temporary deployments.

"Also, all of his programs have received zero write-ups and he was recognized as a superior performer from the Air Combat Command unit component inspection team."

Airman Wilson is currently a staff sergeant select from Gainesville, Fla. and joined the Air Force because it he saw it as a good opportunity for his wife and kids.
