Training the next generation of Air Traffic Controllers
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Hayley Cummings, 20th Operations Support Squadron air traffic control (ATC) apprentice, uses the ATC radar simulator in the Radar Approach Control at Shaw Air Force Base, Oct. 31, 2023. ATC can be a daunting career field for first-term Airmen; using the simulator to train Airmen allows them to experience hand-on training without the stress of working in a real-life scenario.
