Read Across America Day

The 9th Air Force command chief, Chief Master Sgt. James Davis, and his wife, Pat Davis, read “If I Were President,” by Catherine Stier, to a group of second graders March 1 at Shaw Heights Elementary School during the school’s Read Across America Day celebration. After reading the book, the couple asked the children what they would do if they were president. Answers ranged from “get rid of homework” to “help hungry people” to “make the world out of candy.” (U.S. Air Force Photo by Staff Sgt. Amanda Currier)
