Rapid refueling

U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Jonathan Hinesley, 20th Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels operator drags a fuel hose away from an F-16 Fighting Falcon after refueling the aircraft, Jan. 10, 2013, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. Hinesley and other fuels operators and crew chiefs performed hot pit refueling procedures for both the 55th and 79th Fighter Squadrons. Hot pit refueling is a procedure usually performed in a combat situation to rapidly refuel aircraft while their engines are running resulting in a speedy refuel to thrust pilots back into the fight.
