Camden holds battle re-enactment

Marching toward the battle, re-enactors portray colonial militiamen of the American War of Independence, about 25 miles north of Shaw Air Force Base, at Camden, S.C., Nov. 3, 2012. Camden was the site of the Continental Army’s worst defeat on Aug. 16, 1780. More than 200 re-enactors, including many military veterans, brought the battlefield back to life 232 years after the event. (U.S. Air Force photo by Rob Sexton/Released)
