U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen Stephen Hoog, Ninth Air Force commander, lands his F-16 Fighting Falcon after his final flight as the Ninth Air Force commander, Oct. 14, 2011, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. Final flights or fini flights have been a long standing U.S. Air Force tradition for pilots leaving their unit to be reassigned to a different unit or retiring from the Air Force.
