Water Tower Repairs
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Brian King, 20th Civil Engineer Squadron heavy equipment operator, gives guidance for navigating the backhoe around the water pipes at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Aug. 16, 2011. The Rhodes Water Tower next to Highway 441 remains the backup water reservoir for Shaw's main water tower near the enlisted dormitories. After repairs are completed, a water sample will be taken to test the levels of purity, phosphates, acidity and alcoholicity to ensure a fresh water supply is available.
