Red Flag 11-3: force multipliers in action

NELLIS AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- An F-22A Raptor receives fuel from a KC-135R Stratotanker as part of Operation Red Flag 11-3 Feb. 28. The KC-135R has provided the core air refueling capability for the United States Air Force for over 50 years. The F-22A is designed to project air dominance and defeat threats attempting to deny access to our nation's Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps. Red Flag is a realistic combat training exercise that provides heavily-contested and degraded operational environments to prepare crews for major combat operations against a near-peer adversary.
