101006-F-4406D-105 SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C.-- Pilots from 55th Fighter Squadron returned home from Joint Base Balad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Sept. 7, 2010, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. During the four and a half month long deployment, the unit transformed the Iraqi area of responsibility to single fighter squadron operations and transitioned air operations from Operation Iraqi Freedom to Operation New Dawn.
