Atlantic Strike
100915-F-4983M-101 AVON PARK, Fla. -- Members from the 682d Air Support Operations Squadron from Shaw Air Force Base, S.C, take part in Atlantic Strike 10-02 on Sept. 15, 2010. The 682d are also an Air Support Operations Center, their goal is to support ground operations with data link information and to support ground commanders by providing situational awareness to aircrew and other agencies. Atlantic Strike is a biannual Air Combat Command sponsored joint training exercise designed for the tactical employment of air power in support of joint terminal attack controller and joint fires observer integration through close air support.
