Touching Base radio program

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- The banner for WDXY hangs in the atrium of the support center prior to a "Good Morning Sumter!" radio show broadcast, March 19. The Sumter Radio Station broadcasted Cadet News and entertainment from 1942 to 1944. Today, listeners may tune to WDXY 1240 AM or 105.9 FM from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. the first and third Friday each month for Touching Base.
