Touching Base radio program
SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C.-- The communications vehicle used for the "Good Morning Sumter" radio show parks outside the support center, to prepare for a broadcast here March 19. The Sumter Radio Station broadcasted Cadet News and entertainment from 1942 to 1944. Today, listeners may tune to WDXY 1240 AM or 105.9 FM from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. the first and third Friday each month for "Touching Base."
