Preventing wildfires
SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- Mr. Ronnie June, 20th Civil Engineer Squadron natural resources planner, starts a fire using a gasoline and diesel mixture during a prescribed burn at Poinsett Electronic Combat Range Jan. 15. The main purpose for the prescribed burn is fuel reduction and to provide training for the 20th CES Fire Department. Approximately 52 acres were burned to prevent wildfires.
