Night vision

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- John Peebles, president of the 20th Fighter Wing Association, reviews a pair of night-vision goggles April 23 during a tour of the 55th Fighter Squadron. During the visit, Mr. Peebles also met with wing leaders and other fighter pilots. The 20th FW Association is composed of former members of the wing, its subordinate organizations and its predecessors to promote the history of the unit. The 20th FW traces its lineage to the 20th Pursuit Group which was later absorbed by the 20th Fighter Bomber Wing. The 20th was one of the 13 original combat air groups formed by the Army before World War II. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman John Gordinier)
