Learning pilot's gear
SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- Maj. Jeff Cunningham (left), 55th Fighter Squadron F-16CJ fighter pilot, discusses the technology of a fighter pilot's helmet to John Peebles (center), 20th Fighter Wing Association president, and Robert Scofner, local representative of the 20th FW Association, April 23. During their visit, Mr. Peebles and Mr. Scofner met with wing leaders and toured the 55th Fighter Squadron. The 20th FW Association is composed of former members of the wing, its subordinate organizations and its predecessors to promote the history of the unit. The 20th FW traces its lineage to the 20th Pursuit Group which was later absorbed by the 20th Fighter Bomber Wing. The 20th was one of the 13 original combat air groups formed by the Army before World War II. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Airman John Gordinier)
