Shaw Airmen help "Put 'U' in Sumter"
SUMTER, S.C. -- Tech. Sgt. Chris Albertsen, 20th Component Maintenance Squadron Avionics techinican at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., and wife Sachiyo plant shrubs Feb. 16 in downtown Sumter as part of the "Putting the 'U' in Sumter" community event. More than 600 Shaw Airmen and civilian employees, and their families planted trees and shrubs, painted at five fire stations, power washed historic buildings, landscaped flower beds and accomplished general clean up.
