Prayer Luncheon

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- Chaplain (Brig. Gen.) Cecil Richardson, Air Combat Command deputy chief of chaplains, speaks Feb. 8 at the 20th Fighter Wing Prayer Luncheon. In February 1953, members of the U.S. Senate and House, prayer groups and President Dwight Eisenhower established the first Presidential Prayer Breakfast to seek divine guidance for the national leadership and to reaffirm faith and dependence on God. It has become an annual event across the nation. (U.S. Air Force photo/Airman 1st Class Kathrine McDowell)
