Serving in Balad

BALAD AIR BASE, Iraq -- Lt Col. Chris "Crash" Ashby, 332nd Air Expeditionary Wing chief of safety, sits in an F-16 and goes over his checklist one more time before departing Jan. 29 on a combat mission over Iraq.
