Airman electrifies metal during weld

U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Matthew Neale, 20th Equipment Maintenance Squadron metals technologist journeyman, a Graham, Wa. native, has been welding for five years, Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., April 2, 2014. Neale wears a protective suit, gloves and mask while welding because of extreme heat and electricity involved. Airmen who work in the 20th EMS metals technology shop use their welding skill set to support the 20th Maintenance Group which maintains the 20th Fighter Wing’s 88 F-16CJ Fighting Falcons.
