C-17 stops at Shaw
A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III assigned to Travis Air Force Base, C.A., is parked on the Shaw AFB, S.C., flightline during a routine stop while in route to Aviano Air Base, Italy, Aug. 26, 2014. The C-17 is powered by four, fully reversible, Federal Aviation Administration-certified F117-PW-100 engines. The C-17 made its maiden flight on Sept. 15, 1991, and the first production model was delivered to Joint Base Charleston, S.C., on June 14, 1993.
