Under pressure: Crew chiefs take mission in stride
U.S. Air Force crew chiefs assigned to the 20th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron prepare to launch an F-16CM Fighting Falcon during night operations at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Sept. 18, 2014. As the primary maintainer of their assigned aircraft, dedicated crew chiefs perform a great deal of maintenance, and are also responsible for calling in specialists when needed, like avionics or propulsion technicians, in order to keep their aircraft ready for flight at all times.
