Annual award nominees appear before board

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. James Springer, 20th Medical Group Alcohol and Drug Prevention and Treatment NCO in charge, sits at the position of attention while appearing before a 20th Fighter Wing annual awards board, Jan. 15, 2015 at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C. Springer along with other top NCOs, competed against each other for 20th FW NCO of the year. Each nominee appeared before the board which was made up of six chief master sergeants from units within the 20th FW and was led by CMSgt. Charles Mills, 20th Fighter Wing command chief. All nominees where asked two specific and opinionated questions from each board member, which were designed to be objective and allowed the opportunity to talk about the subject, thus evaluating communication skills.
