79th FS immersion tour gives Airmen, cadets new insight to life of flightline
U.S. Air Force Capt. Kirk Smith, 79th Fighter Squadron assistant chief of training, details the cockpit of an F-16CM Fighting Falcon to ROTC cadets during the 79th FS immersion tour at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., July 21, 2015. The immersion tour is designed to give non-flightline personnel and ROTC cadets the chance to see what Airmen on the flightline experience on a day-to-day basis. The tour included briefings at the 79th FS and the 20th Maintenance Group weapons standardization and evaluations hangar for a chance to get up close and personal with the munitions the 20th Fighter Wing employs on a daily basis.
