Parachutes precisely packed to perfection
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Cheyenne Feazelle, 20th Operation Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment specialist, inspects a life raft at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Oct. 6, 2015. Life rafts are installed in the survival kits that are installed underneath the ejection seat. During man seat separation, the weight of the survival kit actuates the mechanism on top of the carbon dioxide cylinder attached to the raft, forcing it to inflate before it hits the water.
