EOD Airmen practice safe detonations
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Victor Martinez, 20th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal journeyman, uses a toggle switch to fire an aluminum slug at a simulated explosive device during an evaluation at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Nov. 19, 2015. When the Airmen fired the slug at the battery in the device, it disrupted the power to the explosives which allowed the EOD Airmen to safely disassemble the device.
