EOD demonstrates demolition
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Zachary Herrera, 20th Civil Engineer Squadron Explosive Ordnance Disposal flight team leader, pulls out a multi-tool to cut a wire and diffuse an improvised explosive device (IED) during the EOD flight’s working demonstration at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Dec. 4, 2015. Herrera and his teammate swept a section of trail on base to simulate EOD working procedures. Upon finding a simulated IED, Herrera worked close to the ground in a prone position to limit his exposure should the IED explode. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Jonathan Bass)
