Dirt Boyz build Shaw
U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Caleb Hanthorn, 20th Civil Engineer Squadron heavy equipment journeyman, uses a plate tamper to compact the ground at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., June 8, 2016. The pavements and construction shop has approximately 35 various vehicles and pieces of construction equipment ranging from dump trucks to forklifts that are used for a variety of tasks from airfield maintenance to pavement construction.
