PMEL Airman focuses on precision
U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Isaias Tesfaslassie, 20th Component Maintenance Squadron precision measurement equipment laboratory technician, uses an electronic height gauge to measure the flatness of a plate on a boresight fixture at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Dec. 21, 2016. An electronic height gauge measures the levels on items installed into F-16CM Fighting Falcons to an accuracy of a 1000th of an inch. Maintaining an accuracy of a 1000th of an inch helps ensure the part meets all technical order requirements and is safe for re-installation into the aircraft.
