79th ‘Tigers’ take on Checkered Flag 24-2, WSEP
A U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcon assigned to the 79th Fighter Squadron takes off from the runway at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, during Checkered Flag 24-2 and WSEP, May 10, 2024. Tyndall AFB hosted several units from the U.S. Air Force and joint branches for CF 24-2 and WSEP concurrently, testing the tactics and abilities of 4th and 5th generation aircraft together in airspace capable of supporting large force employment exercises.
