Shaw Fire & Emergency Services continues to hold safety in highest regard
The U.S. Air Force 20th Civil Engineer Squadron Fire and Emergency Services, along with Sumter Safe Kids Coalition and South Carolina Department of Public Health, hosted a car seat check event as part of a Child Passenger Safety Technician class in the Base Exchange parking lot at Shaw Air Force Base, S.C., Jan. 31, 2025. During the week-long CPST class, 16 personnel from the 20th CES FES, Lexington Fire, Dorchester County Fire, Lexington and Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, and Prisma Health were added to the ranks of the 1,100 current CPST technicians in the state of South Carolina.
