Community members gather to listen to presentations about Shaw AFB’s environmental restoration efforts at the Restoration Advisory Board in Sumter, S.C., June 2, 2025. RABs are unique to the Department of Defense and provide a collaborative forum for community members, the DoD, local and state governments, tribes, etc. to openly discuss cleanup efforts and collaborate on solutions moving forward.
