20th MXG to host annual load crew competition Published Feb. 21, 2018 20th Fighter Wing Public Affairs SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- The 20th Maintenance Group will host the 20th Fighter Wing’s annual Load Crew of the Year competition here Feb. 23, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. The competition will pit “Crew 55-06” of the 55th Aircraft Maintenance Unit against “Crew 79-05” of the 79th AMU, both three-man teams, against each other to determine which team can load simulated munitions onto F-16 Fighting Falcons in the safest, fastest, and most accurate manner. Each crew will load six munitions in total – two AGM-88 High-Speed Anti-Radiation air-to-ground missiles, two AIM-120 Advanced Medium Range air-to-air missiles, and two AIM-9 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles.Media interested in attending the event should R.S.V.P. no later than 3:00 p.m., Feb. 21.
