Shaw to Reroute Traffic

Shaw Drive, the main street entering Shaw AFB from highway 378, will be under construction June 3-15. Both the inbound and outbound lanes will be closed between Aiken Street and the Shoppette/Gas Station. 

Aiken Street will be used as the detour to access the main base. Drivers departing via the Main Gate will use Aiken on the west side of Shaw Drive. Both the North Gate and the Frierson Road Gate will maintain normal operating hours. 

All necessary steps are being taken to prevent unnecessary delay; however, those with appointments on base may want to allow a few extra minutes travel time.
