Shaw Airmen deploy

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. --  More than 200 Airmen from Shaw will deploy Thursday in an Air Expeditionary Force rotation to the Southwest Asia. 

The Airmen are part of a group of nearly 350 Shaw Airmen that have or will deploy this month in support of the Global War on Terrorism. 

"We are providing our Combatant Commanders with their most lethal and proven weapon--highly skilled and tactically trained Airmen, ready for any challenge, anytime, any where," said Col. Michael Byrne, 20th Fighter Wing vice commander.
