Shaw jettisoned fuel tanks found

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- The two fuel tanks jettisoned by an Air Force F-16CJ fighter aircraft earlier today have been located.

Both tanks were found near the intersection of Bronco and Dowry Roads in the Wedgefield, S.C. area. The second tank was found about 100 yards away from the first in a thick stand of trees. Shaw AFB crews are in the process of removing the tanks and transporting them to the base.

A board of officers will investigate the incident
