Groundwater cleanup efforts to be addressed at public meeting

SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. --  Shaw, in conjunction with the city and county of Sumter, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command, invites the public to participate in a semi-annual Restoration Advisory Board meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the New Beginning Banquet Facility at 1335 Peach Orchard Rd in Sumter.

The meeting is a follow-up to a February 2006 public meeting and will focus on the Air Force and DHEC's ongoing efforts in the investigation and cleanup of trichloroethylene (TCE) in local groundwater.
