The 55th, 77th and 79th Fighter Squadrons evacuated their F-16 Fighting Falcons to Barksdale Air Force Base, La. The evacuation was to avoid possible damage to the aircraft from Hurricane Michael. The jets returned to Shaw AFB Oct. 12 and will continue normal flying operations.
