SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. – Every Air Force career has significant milestones that an Airman reaches with enough time in service. Anniversaries, reenlistments and promotions occur continuously across Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, and the 20th Force Support Squadron recognizes them.

The 20th FSS held a quarterly Airman Appreciation Dinner at the Chief Master Sgt. Emerson Williams Dining Facility at Shaw AFB, March 28.

The event began with conversations with the celebrating service members and a homemade meal from the dining facility staff.

“We have a specific menu for the Airmen at the dinner,” said Master Sgt. Isabella Milks, 20th FSS food service operations chief. “With Mardi Gras approaching, we have designed a traditional southern meal with a New Orleans king cake.”

The mid-meal entertainment was also presented by the FSS team. Airmen competed in party games for a chance to win prizes and to be entered in a raffle for 500 dollars.

“There are not many opportunities to celebrate with our Airman, this is one of them,” said Master Sgt. Jonathan Curl, 20th Operations Group first sergeant. “We are happy this is going on and we are excited to take part in these different events in the future.”
