SHAW AIR FORCE BASE, S.C. -- U.S. Air Force Col. Elizabeth Bowman relinquished command of the 20th Medical Group to Col. Robin Lech during a change of command ceremony at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, June 10, 2026. The 20th Medical Group provides ambulatory medical, dental and pharmaceutical services to the 20th Fighter Wing, Headquarters 9th Air Force (U.S. Air Forces Central), and associate units as well as dependents of service members and retirees. The change of command ceremony is a military tradition where one commanding officer publicly transfers responsibility and authority to another with the passing of a guidon.
