  • Team Shaw donates blood, saves lives

     Team Shaw joined together to give back to the community in a blood drive here Jan. 4. Approximately 40 people came out to donate blood. Shaw's 20th Contracting Squadron and 20th Logistics Readiness Squadron directed and sponsored the event.

  • Shaw Airmen participate in weapon's load competition

    The 20th Fighter Wing weapons standardization unit held their quarterly weapons load crew of the quarter competition here Jan. 6. The competition brings together weapons load crew members from all three fighter squadrons at Shaw to compete against each other to show who is the best.

  • New commander leads 337th Recruiting Squadron

    U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Troy Kimball took command of the 337th Recruiting Squadron Jan. 4, 2012. Airmen from the 337th RCS came together at the Shaw Air Force Base Community Activity Center to welcome their new commander. Kimball assumed command of the 337th RCS from Lt. Col. Mathew Hughbanks.

  • Squadrons compete in holiday card competition

    Several squadrons here got in the holiday spirit by participating in a holiday card competition, Dec. 15. The 20th Civil Engineer Squadron's holiday card was named the winner of the holiday card competition. The holiday cards were created for seasonal spirit and squadron competition.

  • Christmas tree honors deployed Airmen, Soldiers

    Team Shaw members set up a deployed family Christmas tree at the Carolina Skies Club Dec. 15, 2011. The tree was decorated by families of deployed Airmen and Soldiers in honor of their loved ones who will not be here this holiday season.

  • Restoration Advisory Board visits Team Shaw

    Members of the Restoration Advisory Board visited Team Shaw for an environmental workshop Dec. 15, 2011. The purpose of the workshop was to educate new community members of the RAB about Shaw's mission and environmental matters.

  • Airmen put eyes on target

    U.S. Air Force Airmen currently going through a First Term Airman's Course received the chance to spend some time at Shaw's Skeet Shooting Range Dec. 13, 2011. The class provided the Airmen an opportunity to gain experience with an automatic shotgun while under close supervision by range staff.
